Max's Yellow Interceptor

SOLD!

     A customer in the USA has asked us to advertise for him his Yellow Red and Blue replica.

     We might not have built this car, but we can endorse the fact that it was built using our correct MAD MAX body kit, and Grant Hodgson (pictured with the replica above) has endorsed the buildup. The few final things Grant picked as still required like the "Falcon" grill badge and hood pins are on the way to the USA now.

     Grant’s history with the Yellow cars actually pre-dates the partnership with Gordon Hayes and the black replica build-ups by a few years.

     So the endorsement of Grant Hodgson is a credit to the build-up work.

     The base car is a 1975 Australian Ford Falcon sedan.

     Grant has conducted an exhaustive inspection of all the known and not so well known Ford rust spots has returned this excellent replica a clean bill of health.

     The base car is rust free!

     Grant has reported that the paint work is top quality, and the parts fitting is neat and tidy.

     Grant was also impressed to find that the vehicle has the correct over spray presentation in the door jams.

The motivation is provided by a healthy Australian 351 Cleveland V8.

     Grant did comment that the replica could use a headliner as it is the original and the white has some fading.

     Not to miss the chance of a drive in a replica Grant was soon out on the roads around Chicago. Grant reported that the film correct FMX auto was smooth shifting, and the car drove well. As a motor mechanic by trade, Grant inspected the replica from the mechanical viewpoint. Again the car has received a clean bill of health! Suspension, diff, engine, transmission, all are working well and in good condition.

     Grant stated that the replica drove tight and “felt” new.

     Accustomed to MAD MAX replicas turning heads in Australia, however Grant reported that in the USA the head turning power of a replica is no less than in Australia.

     Legions of gob smacked public stop and stare the passing “police” car.

     Those who know MAD MAX stand and worship, those who do not just stand and wonder what the hell the local Police are up to with this extreme new highway Interceptor.

Recently the car was a feature car at the World of Wheels series in 2003 and the Street Machine Nationals in summer 2004.

Grants report also reads:

          * Roof lights: Correct and operational.

          * Police siren: Correct and operational.

          * Body modifications: Correct MAD MAX parts used (supplied by Grant and Gordon) and the attachment work is neat.

          * Body condition: Excellent.

          * Paint work: Excellent.

          * Mechanicals: Very good.

     The car ready to drive and show in its present form. The Title of the vehicle is clear and is already transferred from Australian to a state title.
