Budget Replica #1 SOLD! 


Waiting for the primer to harden, the replica is already showing its movie star looks.

     
     What we call a "Budget Replica," is aimed at the buyer who simply cannot afford the cost of a full, from the ground- up rebuild, 100% movie correct replica. Outwardly this replica will look movie correct. It will in-fact be so close that it will either serve as a replica just as it is, or it will provide the perfect platform for later upgrades in the drive-train. All of the rust issues in the XB Coupe have been addressed. The entire vehicle has been rebuilt with a "fix as required" approach, rather than the "replace everything" philosophy that is applied to the top- of- the- line replica. This replica is currently back from the painters, and has been sitting for a few weeks un till the primer hardens correctly. Next, the base coat will be blocked back and the final color will be applied.


The replica will sit for 2 weeks until it is blocked back, then the black will go on.
     
     The replica when finished will be presented in the correct Black on Black presentation. All of the body modification parts on this replica are the exact same as the previous many replicas that Grant and Gordon have assembled. It has the correct roof spoiler, correct trunk spoiler, correct monza nose and the same wheel flares as used on the "Washington" and "Los Angeles" replicas. The exterior body will be the same presentation as the "Top- of- the- line" replicas.


All parts as per our "Top-of-the-line" replicas. Correct roof spoiler is shown in this picture.    The trunk spoiler can easily be seen to be the smaller movie correct version.


     If that isn't good enough for the price, this replica will also have a brand new, 100% MAD MAX 1 correct, XB GT interior. The entire interior will be refurbished with new seat trim, headlining, carpet and door trims. The inside of this replica will look like a new vehicle, and will also be to the same specifications of a "top-of-the-line" replica, like the "Washington", "Los Angeles", and Jim Martino replicas.


The wheels and exhaust system are currently on order, but the mint XB GT Interior will need to wait until either deposit time, or until we are able to fund the project further ourselves.
     
     The wheels and tires shall be new items and will also be MM1 correct. The replica shall carry a reproduction Scott hat and blower assembly. The MM1 side exit exhaust system will be installed as being fully operational. This means that the exhaust exits out of all eight pipes, four per side. The suspension height will be set exactly the same as the "Top-of-the-line" replicas, to achieve the exact same menacing stance. A Cleveland V8, a 4-speed gearbox, and 4 wheel disk brakes will be pulling and stopping this replica when all is said and done.
